Rich material and cultural products and services to the residents of different regions showed large consumer differences in consumption, but basically completed the transition from subsistence to develop consumer-type, and begin the transition to-the enjoyment consumption. Inner Mongolia region inhabited farmers, pastoralists and urban residents of the three consumer groups, their consumption level and structure also have their own characteristics. Therefore, improving the level of consumption,optimizing consumption structure,excavating the consumption potential,grasping the variation of the different residents’consumption in Inner Mongolia regions, Guiding to demand by consume and making the the scientific industry and local development policies,this is the starting point and end point of this article of studying variances between Inner Mongolian farmers〠herdsmen and urban residents’consumption behavior.In this paper, with the existence of the urban,rural areas and pastoral ternary economic structure in Inner Mongolia as the example,Adopting the time-series data from1980to2012of urban residents, farmers and pastoralists’income and consumption,through the analysis of farmers, pastoralists and urban differences in income levels,consumption level and consumption structure,establish LA/AIDS model,using the regression results to estimate the price elasticity of eight categories of consumer goods,in order to grasp the consumption situation and regularity of consumption structural changes of urban residents,farmers and herders.The results showed that: income and consumption level of residents in Inner Mongolia has been greatly enhanced, And have entered the rich stage, but rural is nearly a decade later than towns and pastoral; urban residents has higher levels of consumption and tend to service consumption; farmers and pastoralists consumption will tend to transportation, telecommunications, home appliances, health care and other consumer goods. Combined difference of expenditure elasticity and price elasticity between urban and rural residents, urban residents and herders,make appropriate policy recommendations based on the analysis of specific issues. |
