Study On The Development Of Hong Kong Yacht Tourism

As an impornt part of high-end leisure industry, yacht tourism always has a place in the turbulent international economic landscape through its certain charm what we can briefly call "high industrirl.value added, high social level and high tourism consumption experience". For the past few years, the global economy generally cooled, while the tertiary industry still developed with a steady pace. To keep up with the general trend, many coastal regions of our country realize the yacht tourism’s huge thrust of the economy, thus huge policy support was given to the related industry. Meanwhile, the government makes good use of their resources, geographical and market advantages, develop a large number of typical yacht tourism projects, such as yacht marina, hotel, exhibition and sports events, mainly constructed some excellent yacht tourism cities.Hong Kong is the representative of the Asian yacht industry, not only has there been a long history of the yacht, excellent tourism resources and yacht atmosphere, but also there are many mature experience which can be learned and put into practice by other backward areas. Therefore, this article takes Hong Kong as the object of study, which has certain powers of persuasion. I hope to grasp the situation of Hong Kong yacht tourism development through multi-angle analysis, and give my own opinions about some key issues such as marina construction, industrial structure, club operations and consumption, then summarize the experience and inspiration of "Hong Kong style", providing some reference for other coastal regions of our country which intend to develop yacht tourism.This paper mainly consists of the following work.Firstly, it combed the yacht tourism research progress at home and abroad, and define the concept of yacht, yacht tourism, and yacht tourism industry. Generalized yacht tourism contains not only the yacht activities at sea but also the tourism patterns supported by yacht race, exhibition, hotel and property.Secondly, analysis on the present situation and conditions of Hong Kong yacht tourism development, believing in that nature, economy, industry, social historical and cultural conditions are the main superiority to develop yacht tourism.Thirdly, the construction of infrastructure (terminal channel, etc.) of yacht tourism in Hong Kong was investigated and analyzed, putting forward the three cores of Hong Kong yacht tourism activities, and analyzing the impact of coastal geological conditions, climate factors, tourist attractions and transportation on the location of marina.Fourthly, the study has a discussion about the structure of HK yacht tourism industry chain. Meanwhile, it makes an evaluation of the whole competitiveness about HK YTIC. The results show that the Hong Kong yacht tourism industry itself is a needs-led multicenter dependent chain-like structure. Then, study the core enterprise of HK YTIC, involving the club form, membership, club profit model, marketing strategy, etcFifthly, studying the main body of yacht tourism consumption, the Hong Kong yacht consumption group is divided into three categories "The wealthy, elite and middle class", and analizing consumer decision-making process through "Models of Consumer Behavior"Sixthly, summarizing the patterns of comprehensive development of tourism in Hong Kong yacht, including the gathering-distributing type, the city terminal-far country club, vacation tour, sports tourism, exhibition tourism and yacht estate. Meanwhile, the thesis chooses typical cases for analysis.At last, on the basis of detailed analysis of "Hong Kong model", summarizing the experiences of Hong Kong yacht tourism development, believing in that we should improve the infrastructure construction, specificate management system, promote regional industry interaction, diversify product positioning, rich tourism marketing and improve service and management level to ensure the health of regional yacht tourism development.
