With the rapid development of international trade, China has become one of the biggest container shipping countries. While after the financial crisis in2008, global economy was hit badly. Thus, the container shipping in China has met great challenges. On one hand, the supply exceeds the demand in the whole market and the operation cost keeps increasing; on the other hand, shipping companies lost their profit in the price rivalry. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the problem in C company’s marketing and find out a better way for shipping companies to survive in the competition.Firstly, this paper analyzes the environment of C company by using theories of PEST and SWOT. Secondly this paper g+ives marketing proposals based on the4R theory. C company can try to consolidate customer, ally with competitors, build up Integrated Logistics and seek key customers. It is hoped that this paper is helpful for shipping companies in similar situation.
