Commercial banks are currently completed the initial data set and productionoperations centralized in the DataCenter. However, the current DataCenters are oftenbased on an individual project, and is characterized by vertical "chimney"architecture. Each system has its own IT equipment, storage, databases, resources andinformation among each other that can not be effectively shared within the data center. In recent years, with the x86processor performance and application popularity, moreand more commercial banks began x86processor-based server virtualization. Servervirtualization can take full advantage of high-performance server computing powerthrough virtualization software, originally operating systems and applications runningon multiple physical servers consolidated onto a single physical server.Firstly, the paper summarizes the server virtualization technology, including thex86architecture and the basic definition of server virtualization, server virtualizationclassification, the development process as well as server virtualization in the domesticfinancial industry applications. On this basis, the paper on server virtualization in theapplication of commercial banks carried out a feasibility analysis, including servervirtualization in commercial banking IT plays a role in the construction of commercialbank server virtualization technology specific application scenarios, servervirtualization technical and economic feasibility of the application of the impact ofserver virtualization technology on the business development of commercial banks.Based on the above analysis, the thesis analyzed the Hunan Branch of CCB servervirtualization background and urgency, building construction process and theimplementation process of the policy implementation process taken by thevirtualization platform, operation and maintenance of the system risk analysis andprevention. Thesis CCB ADMAS System for a specific case, before and after theserver virtualization overall system performance, availability, manageability, andequipment investment, space, and power consumption for a detailed comparison andvirtualized computing investment/benefit ratio and total cost of ownership. The Paper concluded that the commercial banking application servervirtualization technology needs to take " planning in advance, balanced, step bystep," the idea of the need for efforts from people, technology, processes three areas.
