At the beginning of1990s, China piloted the micro-credit business initially. Till today,Chinese micro-credit business has achieved scale development and has provided thenecessary support and help to the poor to become rich. But the international and domesticeconomic situation is changing rapidly, especially the development of the ruraleconomy,we need to study the theory related to the micro-credit in-depth. Shandong province is abig agricultural province in China, the rural economy accounts for a larger proportion inthe province’s economy, research on the development of micro-credit is not to be ignored.Since the micro-credit has begun, it has played a positive role in the relief of the three ruralissues in Shandong Province. But in the operation, it still exist some problems such as thecredit environment is poor, lack of government functions, the low profit of micro-credit.It’s urgent to solve these problems, to guide the micro-credit’s sustainable development.This paper is divided into six parts: the first chapter introduces the background,significance of micro-credit, and details the current successful research articles; the secondchapter introduces the basic theory of rural micro-credit, the sustainable development ofmicro-credit standards in major; the third chapter takes Shandong province as an example,summarizes the development condition and the process of micro-credit, and deeplyanalyses the situation of supply and demand; the fourth chapter demonstrates that thesustainable development of micro-credit will be achieved according to the practical data inShandong province; the fifth chapter points out that the main obstacle impeding thesustainable development of micro-credit from three levels which are the environment, thegovernment and internal mechanism; the sixth chapter provides some scientific, effectivepolicy suggestions for the sustainable development of micro-credit according to the factorsmentioned in the previous paper.
