| Since China’s reform and opening up in December1978, international trade develops very fast, and the proportion of intra-industry increases year by year. After joined WTO in2001, international trade of China develops even faster, and the trade pattern transfers gradually from inter-industry to intra-industry. This paper illustrated the status of China’s intra-industry trade of hi-tech industry and its capacity of independent innovation. Then, based on the theory of technology transfer, I analyzed the channels which caused the technology to spill over. Finally, with an OLS model, I made some conclusions on the impact of intra-industry trade on the capacity of independent innovation of hi-tech industry in China.In the part of situation analysis, this paper shows the data of intra-industry trade and the capacity of independent innovation of China’s hi-tech industry. Then through general analysis, I linked the two variables together. In mechanism analysis, this paper analyzed the channels how intra-industry trade effect the capacity of independent innovation. Besides, some quantitative indicators are extracted in this part which can be used for empirical analysis. In empirical analysis, I constructed an OLS model, under help of Eviews5.1, to give some reliable conclusions on the impact of intra-industry trade on capacity of independent innovation.The empirical results show that, intra-industry trade of hi-tech industry have remarkable effect on both innovation inputs and innovation outputs, and innovation input affected innovation output to a certain extent. In addition, China’s intra-industry trade of hi-tech industry has a significant negative effect on independent innovation, both innovation inputs and outputs. Through literature retrieval of scholars in this field, I found that intra-industry trade can’t promote independent innovation in all industries, which means my conclusions are credible.According to the conclusions of empirical analysis, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions, and points out the deficiency and prospect of this paper. |
