In the21st century, economic globalization and the rapid development of science and technology and knowledge-oriented economy provide a better opportunity for entrepreneurship activities, entrepreneurial activities which is the main driving force of economic development has been widespread concerned home and abroad. In China, due to the increased employment pressure and the maturation of entrepreneurial conditions, more and more college students start their own businesses which have aroused unprecedented interest from all works of life. In the current, few people carry out entrepreneurial practice and Entrepreneurial success rate is low; In the long run, college students’ entrepreneurship made great contribution to economic growth and social development. The most urgent problem to be solved is how to stir up the entrepreneurial enthusiasm of students and enhance entrepreneurial intention of college students. Therefore, this study uses Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior to examine university students’ intentions to start various types of ventures.Firstly, this paper mainly uses the literature analysis method to review the related research results, and poses some hypothesis. Secondly, based on some overviews studies, we designed a survey questionnaire, and data was collected by distributing questionnaires and collect the questionnaire. Lastly, through analyzing the data by statistical software, we research the applicability of the theory of planned behavior by the type of venture. The conclusion of this paper is following:(1)College students’subjective norm, perceived behavior control have no significant impact on intentions regarding small,lifestyle ventures, and the intermediary role of entrepreneurial attitude is not statistically significant. thus, the revised model’s level of unusefulness for explaining entrepreneurial intentions;(2)College students’ subjective norm, perceived behavior control have no significant impact on intentions regarding small,high income ventures, and the intermediary role of entrepreneurial attitude to the relationship between the entrepreneurial attitude with perceived behavior control is statistically significant, but the intermediary role of entrepreneurial attitude to the relationship between the entrepreneurial attitude with subjective norm is not statistically significant. thus, the revised model’s level of usefulness for explaining entrepreneurial intentions;(3)College students’ subjective norm, perceived behavior control have no significant impact on intentions regarding small,high income ventures, the intermediary role of entrepreneurial attitude to the relationship between the entrepreneurial attitude with perceived behavior control is statistically significant, and the intermediary role of entrepreneurial attitude to the relationship between the entrepreneurial attitude with subjective norm is also statistically significant. thus, the revised model’s level of usefulness for explaining entrepreneurial intentions.
