Studies On Regional Layout Optimiation Of The Rice In Hunan Province

The paper analyzed the rice’s conditions and status of Hunan province, through the method of comprehensive comparative advantage index, we build three indicators, including Efficiency Advantage Index, the Scale Advantages Index and Aggregated Advantage Index to determine the122counties’rice(including the early rice, middle rice and the later rice) comparative advantage in Hunan Province from the year2000to2011, then determined the advantage countries(cities/districts) of rice inside Hunan, on the base of the rice’s advantage countries and the rule of how to distribute the regional, we divided the region where the rice be planted in Hunan into northern Hunan double cropping rice region, central Hunan and eastern Hunan double cropping rice region, southern Hunan double and single cropping rice region, western single cropping rice region, and provided the corresponding policy recommendations at last.This paper contains six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, the research purpose, research significance, review of the literature, research methods, innovation and shortage of the paper included; The second chapter is the theoretical analysis, which discussed what region and regional distribution is, throughing the theory of regional division, theory of comparative advantage, coordinated regional development theory and the theory of resource optimization,we analyzed the needing for the rice’s regional distribution; The third and the fourth chapter is the part of empirical, the third part discussed the conditions and factors of Hunan’s rice production, the result shows that rice acreage and yield have a great influence to the rice production of Hunan; the fourth chapter investigated the122countries’ comparative advantage of rice and identified the advantage country of rice in Hunan by using the method of comprehensive comparative advantage index, then plotted he advantage country of rice in Hunan; The fifth chapter explored five rules of how to distribute the rice’s region in Hunan, so as to optimize the regional distribution of rice in Hunan; The sixth chapter is the part of conclusions and policy suggestions, where the four regions of the rice production inside Hunan and the policy recommendations contained in.
