Study On Development Of Cross-Border RMB Settlement Business Of A Bank In Jiangxi Province

In the year2009,China had been confronting so very serious internal and external economic situation.The fierce volatility and obvious declination of the exchange rate of major currencies of international settlement like the US dollar,the euro and so forth resulted in the problems of exchange rate risk and operational risk of foreign trade.Meanwhile China’s Economic and Financial Management was trying to explore a new way of developing international settlement.Approved by the Financial Administrative Departments under the State Council,the six ministries and commissions such as the People’s Bank of China started cross-border RMB trade settlement pilot in five major cities in the same year,although encountered difficulties,such transactions had been developing rapidly under the various efforts of our nation.The action effectively promoted the development of the theory of traditional international settlement,the construction of the academic of foreign exchange and the theory of organizational management and practical application of banking system.In addition it refined the structure of international settlement and the breakthrough of business,providing theoretical guidance and decision-making reference for the development of RMB cross-border settlement of China’s commercial banks.Therefore,it is of important theoretical value and practical significance to study the issue.This papers systematically analysed respectively from five aspects such as the running background of the domestic RMB cross-border settlement,the influencing factors of RMB cross-border settlement of A Bank in Jiangxi Province,the main idea of China’s RMB corss-border settlement,the risks of cross-border settlement and the strategies of development and management of the market share of RMB cross-border settlement of A Bank.This papers is divided into six chapters structurally,chapter1is introduction;chapter2is the overview of RMB cross-border settlement;chapter3is the analysis of the present situation of RMB cross-border settlement of A Bank;chapter4is the analysis of strategies of development of RMB cross-border settlement of A Bank;chapter5is the safeguard measures of RMB cross-border settlement of A Bank;and chapter6is the conclusion and the prospect.Based on the background and the development status,this papers illustrates the active use and practical meaning of forcefully pushing such business pilot through the facets of corporations,the designated foreign exchange banks and authorities,and it also in-depth discusses the prerequisites for RMB to participate in international settlement.Finally the papers comes to a conclusion that the function of cross-border trade settlement of RMB is the prerequisite for internationalization of it.Meanwhile cross-border trade plus investment of RMB also provides new space for challenges between City commercial Banks and State-owned Banks.Ths papers takes the status and problems of such settlement of A Bank in Jiangxi Province as an example,it supplies the detailed development strategies by research of scientific markets and digging of proper clients,establishment of highly qualified and effective international settlement teams,effective communication of marketing and settlement between banks and corporations,accuracy and correctness of data of receiving and paying of RMB according to the regulation of supervision department and co-operation of different departments inside banking system.What’s more,it analyses the capital,risks and performances of banking operation,posing strategies of internal management of cross-border RMB settlement from the views of progress,quality and control,which aims at overall developing settlements of this kind,optimizing the structure of international settlement,realising the common development of varieties of settlement and gaining greater space for profit.Though confronting sorts of difficulties because of restrain of regions and resources,cross-border RMB settlement has large potential for development and methods of broadenning,undoubtedly such transaction can supply A Bank with solid base and forceful garrantee to advance.
