Quality Management Study On Multinational Corporation Outsourcing Project In China

Under the guidance of strategic adjustment "return to the industry, strengthen the core business", more and more multinational companies have expanded in China’s outsourcing projects. Outsourcing projects are operated with OEM, ODM form, managed by project management.The thesis is based on the study of outsourcing projects between multinationals between SE and private PR. It is expected starting point from PR company we can find a clue and way to successful quality management about outsourcing project. And it is expected that the effective way can be introduced to similar outsourcing businesses and to achieve a win-win situation.The ideas are as follows:when analyzing the products performance according to the most important KPIs, TN (field return rate) and NQSU (outgoing inspection defect rate) trend within the last year, we found the trends of them are in constant upswing. In order to find out the reasons for the increasing, we begin with SE and PR quality management structure, quality management model in comparison. We detailed quality control on PR development quality, manufacturing quality to understand where PR quality management is. Then, taking the quality issues from blender SJ8O3as an example, we begin to analyze the issues deeply. We conclude:1. Miscommunication reasons, resulting in quality problems not being taken seriously;2due to not using the system of scientific quality tools, resulting in the potential risk cannot be identified;3. Bad team work within SE and PR Outsourcing projects, resulting in inefficient projects;4due to inefficiency, causing tension progress of the project, at the expense of some quality, resulting in quality problems not solved in time.Through this case root of the problem, comparing with other quality cases, we find several factors impact on the success of the outsourcing project. According to these factors, we take related measures to avoid and solve these factors:the establishment of communication mechanisms; establish quality information feedback mechanisms; priorities into FMEA quality tools; establish irregular quality audit. Currently, these mechanisms are already beginning to show results, and hope eventually could effectively solve the related problems.
