Abstract/Summary:
In response to fierce global competition impact, Enterprise Manager realize thatnot only provides high quality products and services to customers, the need to rein inproduction costs, maximize operating profit, to seek a long term development. Scrapmeans that the loss of profit and increased costs; So many electronic industrymanufacturers own maintenance department to repair defective products. This articlefocus on SVA applied in S company cell phone PBA repair process. SVA is short forScrap Validation Audit, followed in the word OBA.OBA is the abbreviation for Outof Box Audit, is a good quality control. SVA focus on scrap products recheck, preventrepairable products from scrap, meanwhile it will provide possibility for SVAengineer to seek new solution or idea for repair, and provide reference for updatingthe maintenance manual, eventually enhance analysis maintenance member ofmaintenance capability, thereby improve the repair yield of cell phone PBA, reducescrap cost of effect.Six Sigma was started in the mid1990of the20th century by GE from a totalquality management approach evolved into a highly effective business process design,improvement and optimization technology, and provides a series of new productdevelopment tools which equally applies to the design, production and service. Withthe development of globalization, services such as strategy of GE, Six Sigma pursueexcellence in business in the world’s most important strategic initiatives. Six Sigma’sbecoming customer-ruler of the body to determine the design and productdevelopment, the pursuit of a management philosophy of continuous improvement.This study applies Six Sigma DMAIC approach for project of SVA applied inS company phone PBA repair. Use SIPOC method early in the project to analyzeproject process, sort out which is S (Supplier), I (Input), P (Process), O(Output) andC(Customer), and establishes the desired Input to improve processes and new parts;Fishbone analysis applied technique analysis of low scrap rate of S company mobilephone PBA repair, and found the operator-"inexperienced", program-"error code",process-"missing process" manual-"manual out of date" are main reasons for the"scrap with lower accuracy";Sampling method used for data gathering, to providereliable data for project analysis and improvement; Use AQL1.0quality criteria forSVA project quality control; Establish feedback mechanism of the project at the sametime, the SVA results effective and timely feedback to the company S cell phone PBArepair Department, promoting their ability to enhance the capability of repair andupdate repair manual.By April2013, the scrap accuracy is about92.2%, yield of PBA repair is about88.1%. SVA applied to S company PBA repair project is started in January2013,formally applied in April2013. By June2013, the PBA repair scrap accuracy rate isup to96.25%, the yield of repair is improved to95.91%.
