With the rapid development of its economic and trade, China and India, as two ofthe largest developing country, has attracted more and more worldwide attention.In recent years, leaders frequent contacts between China and India and continueto strengthen cooperation in the field of politics and economy. At present, China andIndia, respectively, as the world’s first, fifth foreign trade power, trade dependencebetween each other is also self-evident. India has become one of China’s top tentrading partners, and become the first largest trading nation in the China’s South Asia;by2011, China has overtaken the USA as India’s first largest trading partner.Relatively, India on China’s trade dependence is much higher.Based on the input-output table of35departments from1995to2009, whichWIOD provide to get the export trade of two countries China and India and bilateraltrade data, analyzing the change of the structure of export trade between the twocountries, this paper calculated by the two countries export that points industries anddepartments to form the GDP, export contribution coefficient of exports to GDPcontribution rate, unit formed by the contribution rate of GDP growth and exportgrowth, then to compared the similarities and differences of foreign export tradebetween the two countries, probes into the trade relations between the two countries.No matter from the angle of the world or the bilateral, the export trade structurebetween the two countries have been optimized and the level of technical is rising, butChina’s export trade structure to improve degree higher than India. In the departmentof export contribution rate and economic growth stimulating effect, China and Indiahave differences, but does not constitute a complete trade competition between thetwo countries and obvious rising trend of complementarily. Therefore, China andIndia should expand economic and trade cooperation, give play to complementaryadvantages, and promote domestic industrial structure adjustment and technical levelof ascension, to achieve "win-win" situation.Through the above macro level of overall data and detailed analysis of foreignexport trade between the two countries, as well as micro division index calculation ofdata,we can concluded that China and India raise moved in to their respective shareof world trade in comfort. At the same time, they should pay more attention to internaltrade structure changes, especially the transition among main trade sectors between China and India, for both to make full use of resources, play to complementaryadvantages, promote industrial structure adjustment, the export growth on economicgrowth effect more show the positive pushing effect. This also for China and otherdeveloping countries how to develop good trade relations between them, providingnew and more comprehensive reference basis to promote China and developing theinternational trade and economic and political ties.
