Study On The Development Status, Potential And Countermeasures Of Fuzhou Recreational Fishery

The core of the recreational fisheries is to achieve the fisheries production, socio-economicdevelopment, as well as organic harmony between human and nature. Economic, cultural andecological characteristics are emphasized in the newly developing fishing industry. Recreationalfisheries have fully integrated the urban and rural funds, personnel, technology, marketing andother aspects of resource advantages. By virtue of technology diversification, modernization ofproduction and service of humanity, this has become the final direction of development of themodern fisheries.The research has combined the theory of leisure fishery development and the status quo ofFuzhou leisure fishing. By drawing the experience of the development of recreational fisheriesfrom both domestic and overseas, comprehensive analysis was applied to various aspects andadvantages of Fuzhou city, emphasis was proposed to the development of Fuzhou leisure fishingto be more interesting, localized, well-organized, and diversified, in order to build a modernrecreational fishery system that matches the modernized central city, achieving thetransformation of the fisheries development from relying on farming, fishing to the second andtertiary industries. The results are as follows:1. By strengthening the planning and scientifically arranging the recreational fisherydistricts (RFD), to divide Fuzhou RFD into three districts with different functionalities: urbanrecreational exhibited fishery, coastal tourist leisure fishing and mountain eco-leisure fisheries,develop the recreational fishery basing on local conditions.2.To accelerates the introduction of “Fuzhou Regulations on Administration of RecreationalFisheries ",“Fuzhou Fishing Vessel Management Approach of Leisure Fisheries" and policiesand measurements of” The Suggestion of the People’s Government of Fuzhou of Acceleratingthe Developments of Recreational Fisheries", and thus to further enhance the size and hierarchiesof the recreational fishing industries.3. To strengthen the publicity and leadership of recreational fishery, to improve themanagement mechanism, and to provide preferential policies from the aspects of financial, tax,sea, land, creating a favorable entrepreneurial environment.
