As a vital component of Chinese rural financial system, rural cooperative financial institutions, especially these in the urban area, are playing an increasingly important role in the process of urbanization. In recent years, rural cooperative financial institutions in the urban area, of which RF bank is a representative, fully took the advantage of different positioning, built up a research and development system, constantly promoted innovation in product and service, thus established their service brand in characteristic industry and competitive industries. Considering historical and geographical factor, these institutions are confronting crucial challenge and difficulties. Facing so many strong competitors, the only way to make breakthrough in development for these institutions is to make innovations in traditional credit and loan business.The thesis take the experience in RF bank as an example, deeply studies the credit innovation of cooperative financial institutions in urban area by analyzing the cases. On the basis of raising, analyzing and solving problems, in chapter Ⅰ the author introduces the significance of the research by raising problem, that is to say, the main profit source in RF bank is still from the credit business at present and confronting so many strong competitors, the only way to promote its competitive force is to make credit innovation.The author analyzes the problem in Chapter Ⅱ and Chapter Ⅲ. By introducing the theories in credit innovation, the author establishes the theoretical foundation of the research. Compared with so many research materials on rural cooperative institutions in urban area, there are little contents on credit innovation carried out by the rural cooperative institutions in urban area. In Chapter Ⅲ, the author analyses the case in RF bank, sums the experience in the process of credit innovation in RF bank. And the problems in organization system, business process, product design and human resource management are put forward.The author puts forward the method to solve the problems in credit innovation in the following two chapters. In Chapter Ⅳ, after analyzing the internal and external environment, the author presents the idea that the differentiation strategy is the best way to make credit innovation. The credit innovation scheme, which follows the customer location and customer value segmentation to make credit innovation on idea and products on the basis of differentiation strategy, is brought out. In Chapter V, the author expounds the supporting measures of performing the credit innovation scheme in five aspects, i.e. the brand building, risk management, service efficient and the innovative human resource etc.In the research process, the author set the perspective on strengthening the competitive force, supporting the real economy and supporting medium-sized and small enterprises, which offers a new perspective for the domestic financial innovation research.
