Reliability Based Maintenance Management Study Of AB Petrochemical Co

In the context of weak market and demand downturn, the investment expansion has slowed down in the scope of world. Many companies put more attention on the enterprises internal management, strengthening cost control and improving production efficiency and profit. On the other hand, with the developing of economics, the trend of globalization, networking and informatization of the world economics has increased greatly. The keen market competition requires enterprises to strengthen the internal management of enterprises further. However, many accidents have occurred in the petroleum chemical industry recently, which not only caused great economic loss but also produced great influence on the safety of personnel and environments of social. It highlights the importance of the reliability and management of equipment in the capital intensive industry of petrochemical. It also shows that the researches on reliability based maintenance management have great significance on the production stability, sustainable development, reputation to the enterprises and remarkable values to the social.Based on the background mentioned above, with combining many years’ experiences and deep understanding of maintenance reliability management, this paper initiate the study of the reliability based maintenance management of AB Petrochemical Co. According to the existing maintenance management situation of AB company, the studies are defined into three parts:Preventive maintenance strategy and design; Failure maintenance execution process; Maintenance knowledge management and setting KPI with systematic approach. By searching and reading papers, reports, and theories, this paper studies the growing and trend of maintenance and reliability. The paper points out the existing preventive maintenance issues from the management point of view, focuses on the design and strategy of the preventive maintenance and later the implementation process. By combining the management knowledge the paper presents the specific tools, models and methods for preventive maintenance design, such as risk assessment matrix, maintenance task selection matrix and maintenance frequency decision P-F curve. This paper also studies optimizing the maintenance execution process, creating the maintenance task screening and priority rules and forming the master data team. It proposes to create knowledge management of maintenance and re-designs the KPI basing the using of CMMS.The innovations of this paper are as below. It presents the opinion of building reliability centered maintenance culture and summarizes out the optimized maintenance concept. This paper also points out the significance and importance of data integrity and data quality and optimizes the maintenance implementation process; proposes to create knowledge management of maintenance and giving out the corresponding method.
