The establishment of regional financialgathering area, has an important role in the regional financial industry and economicdevelopment. The purpose of this study is that the relationship between theexploration and research the financial industry agglomeration and economic growth.Existing literature, mainly based on traditional industrial agglomerationframework to study the financial industry agglomeration theory. Normative andpositive combination of dynamic and static combination of research methods, theproposed combination of multi-disciplinary and multi-field characteristics of thefinancial industry for research to financial industry in Chongqing and regionaleconomic study of the financial industry gathering motivation, gathering mode, stageof development, financial agglomeration and regional economic growth promotionmechanism and the relationship between theory and empirical research.First, the study of the financial industry gathering carried out a review ofexisting research, based on the research and summary, and the prospect of futureresearch directions.Second, the financial industry characteristics, financial industrial agglomerationtheory, including financial agglomeration motives, the agglomeration conditions andthe stage of development, and the promotion mechanism of financial agglomerationand economic growth.Finally, as the research object, Chongqing, empirical study of the relationshipbetween the financial industrial agglomeration and regional economic growth on thebasis of analysis of Chongqing’s economic, financial, and financial agglomerationstatus quo. The research results show that, the Chongqing financial industrialagglomeration and regional economic growth, the development of the regionalfinancial industry has a strong relationship.
