Abstract/Summary:
Since the reform and opening up China has had a great achievement in economyaggregate and national strength.Under the policy of Taking economic construction as thecenter and Let some people get rich first, the income gap become more widen anddifferent income class lacks flowing.The imbalance in income distribution has become aprominent issue that affecting social stability. At present,traditional research methods onlyreflects the income gap reseach in one-sided situation.But income mobility provides a newperspective from the point of view of income distribution dynamics study. The research ofincome mobility Reveals changes in income of different income groups in different stages ofdevelopment. Full mobility society in which people have more opportunities to change thecurrent income levels, improve confidence and psychological expectations, will help ease awidening income gap and long-term income inequality.On the basis of summary relevant domestic and foreign literature. In this paper, we studyconducted CHNS survey data on Chinese urban and rural residents’ income household incomemobility. Firstly, we build income quintile transition matrix of the country’s urban and ruralincomes, then use relative income mobility and absolute income mobility and welfareindicators measure methods transfer the income mobility into a comparable number ofindicators. Based on this comparison we focuses describes the flow of income of China’surban and rural areas. Finally, with revenue changes represent income flow position,we useordered Logit model revenue flow factors empirical analysis.Through the above analysis, we get the following conclusions:(1) Country, urban andrural income mobility unified performance as a watershed in2004that dropped after the firstgrowth.(2) Urban and rural household income mobility differences are significant, asdemonstrated in rural than in urban income flows, and has maintained a high level; urbanincome mobility declined significantly.(3) Rural incomes far below the level of benefitsflowing urban and rural poor stability of the economic environment.(4) Personal income ofresidents in vulnerable urban mobility (rural) accounts, gender, age, years of education, and the influence of factors such as occupation. Finally, according to the conclusions of eachchapter we provides specific policy recommendations in order to improve our residents’income mobility.
