Chinese business leaders generally exhibit distinctive paternalistic leadershipstyle, previous studies have shown that paternalistic leadership has impact oncorporate performance, but there is a big difference in the performance of firms whoseleader shows paternalistic leadership style. In order to explain the phenomenonmentioned above and get a better understanding of the mechanism of paternalisticleadership’s effect on corporate performance. The study design a theoretical researchframework based on the reviews of previous studies and theory: organizationallearning as intermediary variables between paternalistic leadership and corporateperformance, that means paternalistic leadership’s impact on firm performance is notdirect, but through the mediating effect of organizational learning; environmentaldynamism as the adjustment variable between paternalistic leadership andorganizational learning. Second, collect data via questionnaires, use SPSS softwarefor data processing and verify the theoretical model and research hypothesis.Managerial implication has been present based on the research findings. And theresearch results will promote the effective selection and utilization for leaders amongauthoritarian leadership, benevolent leadership and moral leadership, manifestcoordination and synergy between exploration learning and exploitation learning,guide enterprises develop organizational learning in the context of environmentaldynamics, enhance corporate performance, implement a corporate succession plansuccessfully, and promote the sustainable development of enterprises.The main conclusions are as follows:1. Paternalistic leadership and organizational learning positively correlated.Benevolent leadership, moral leadership respectively shows a significant positiveinfluence on exploration Learning.2. Organizational learning and corporate performance is positively correlated.Exploitation learning and financial performance is positively correlated, andexploration Learning and new product performance positively correlated.3. Paternalistic leadership and corporate performance is positively correlated;benevolent leadership and new product performance is positively correlated.4. Organizational learning plays a fully mediating role in paternalisticleadership’s prediction on corporate performance; exploration Learning plays a fullymediating role in benevolent leadership’s prediction on new product performance.
