An Empirical Study For The Social Responsibility And Its Influencing Factors Of Construction Enterprise

Construction industry plays an important role in promoting China’s economicdevelopment and urban construction.But it also brings a series of social problems,suchas constructing corporation violating the legitimate rights and interests of employees,and engineering quality and safety problems,and environmental pollution etc.All theseproblems Epitomizes poor awareness of corporate social responsibility,and poorperformance in fulfilling task. Based on this,this paper studys the content of twoparts that are the social responsibility and its influencing factors of constructionenterprise.This paper firstly reviews and summaries the latest research results of thedomestic and foreign enterprises and constructing corporations’ socialresponsibility,thus sort out relevant literature on factors influencing corporate socialresponsibility. Secondly,combining with the characteristics of construction industry,this paper puts forward the concept model,and measurement model of constructingcorporate social responsibility through empirical research,which includes5dimensions,respectively are the employee’s responsibility, community responsibility,environmental responsibility,owner’s responsibility and subcontractors’ responsibility.Then,on the basis of research on literature and practical understanding of constructioncorporation,this paper comes up with research hypothesis and model,takes empiricalresearch as supporting,and recognizes factors influencing social responsibilitybehaviors of constructing corporation.The factors include4variables.They arerespectively enterprise’s strength,external pressure,trade organization and communityaction.Finally,this paper takes the result of empirical research as basis,discusses thedifference of social responsibility between constructing corporation and other enterprises,and the reason. Besides that,this paper also discusses the reason ofdisaccord of the result and hypothesis of research on factors influencing constructingcorporate social responsibility,and puts forward suggestion and makes further look onresearch.There is a certain practical significance to the empirical research on theconstructing corporation’s social responsibility and its influencing factors.Construction corporate fulfils its social responsibility, which could enhance corporatereputation and image, and increase the probability of biding. Fulfilling socialresponsibility could improve enterprise’s financial performance, establish a goodreputation, get consumers’ acceptance, which could indirectly influence constructingenterprise’s profits. If construction corporate greatly fulfils social responsibility, whichcould improve the capacity of getting overseas construction project, and liftcorporation’s position in overseas market through breaking international trade barriersof SA8000.
