Buyer researcher is very important human resource of the fundcompany. This paper focused on buyer researcher’s competence and did anin-depth research in two major topics of career development which werejob promotion and career transition.The paper began with introduction of competency and competencymodel theory, as well as career development theory. And then throughempirical research, I screened out buyer researcher competence key words,and based on which built buyer researcher competency model. Next, basedon competency model, I respectively discussed two topics-job promotionand career transition of buyer researcher, and provided its careerdevelopment with some methods and processes with practical significance.In this paper, the research perspective was relatively new, the objectstudy was relatively typical, and the research content was specific.Moreover, research of competency and career development of buyerresearcher was not so enough in the domestic and international researchliterature. This paper fully draw on the research of competency and careerdevelopment on other specific positions of other industries, and combinedwith the industry characteristics of the fund industry, in order to build apracticable buyer researcher competency model and career development model. I hope my research could make some scientific rationalizationproposals and do some exploration and new research in this area.
