In the trend of the globalization of capital flow and economic development, banks as special enterprises managing risk to maximize profits and minimize risks, the risk management problem of commercial banks has become the major cause of credit risks. Therefore, how to improve the credit risk management standard becomes crucial topic for the survival and sustainable growth of Guangxi Branch of Bank A in the competitive market.Firstly, through the investigation of Guangxi branch of Bank A, the author firstly thoroughly analyzes the goal and purpose of the topic, examines the results of domestic and foreign research on credit risk management, and designs the research methods by applying Basel III regulations. Secondly, the author works out the crux of risk management system of Guangxi branch of Bank A, by examining the organization and operational procedure of the branch and by analyzing an example of the loans to Guangxi TH Co. Ltd. Thirdly, the thesis conducts a comparative study of the experience of the high-standard risk management system of advanced commercial banks. Finally, considering the regional and commercial characteristic of Guangxi branch of Bank A, the thesis makes proposals for the improvement on credit risk management, the enhancement of core competitiveness of the branch, and the refinement of the risk management system in other financial institutions.The creativity of the thesis relies on the author’s rich experience in risk management function of Guangxi branch of Bank A. Through the valuable practical experience and case study, the author analyzes the credit risk management problem through front-line perspective, and through the study of typical problems, makes proposals directly applicable to practical work.
