In recent years, China’s rapid development of Microfinance, provide financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises, farmers, low-income groups effectively. the small amount、short time limit and the wild spread bring about Microfinance’s high risk and high cost of management. From the point of view of information economics, microfinance project risk is derived from asymmetric information between borrowers and lenders. How to solve the problem of asymmetric information effectively, and find out the tool witch has good operability for small business loans, improve risk management level, is a difficult problem for all microfinance institutions, and the key to the healthy development of microfinance.In this paper, combined with the author’s working practice,with study on the role of the credit imformation system in the credit risk management of loans project, analysis of microfinance project risk management and the main problems at present. And through the Guangxi Beibu Gulf Bank using the credit system to effectively enhance the risk management level of the case, illustrate the significant role of the credit system in the microfinance risk management, based on the summarization of the proposed to improve the risk management level of microfinance project recommends the use of credit information system. The main conclusions of this paper are:the credit system can well solve the problem of information asymmetry in microfinance projects, use of credit information system to strengthen the risk management of microfinance project is effective, feasible, with the universal operation significance for financial institutions to carry out the majority of microfinance.
