Environmental Protection In Beijing Urban Agriculture

It is well known that the urban agriculture is based on the demand of city,which is epitomizes“relying on the city, and serve the city”. The urban agriculture has an important significance onsustainable development through balancing the economic development and environmental protection.During the "12th Five-Year" period, our government took a series of measures to develop the urbanagriculture for better living environment and to satisfy the high-quality demand. Developing the urbanagriculture is an effective way to provide green leisure activities area and pollution-free agriculturalproducts to the people living in the city. Meanwhile, it would boost the country economy and increasethe farmers’ income, and then,the last but the most important is that urban agriculture is decisive andcritical factor for the environment in Beijing city.In this paper, using the realistic data and relevance theory, we investigate the urban agricultureaspects. The result is that: Firstly, to realize the significance of environment protection, we analyze therelationship between the urban agriculture and environmental protection; Secondly, we discussed thathow to make the urban agriculture more effective on the environment protection; Thirdly, based on thetypical programs data, much useful experience is concluded, especially for the environment protection.Above all, it is clearly that the urban agriculture is an sustainable development approach to developeconomy and protect environment simultaneously. Finally, we propose a series of pragmatic andworkable measures to make the urban agriculture forward and be as the reference for decision-makingdepartments of Beijing.
