| In recent years, due to human over-consumption of fossil energy, emission of carbon dioxide into the air more than the level that ecological environment can withstand,causing global warming, environmental degradation deepen, the survival and development of mankind is facing serious challenges. It is the inevitable choice to develop low carbon economy in order to defense this crisis. The development of low-carbon economy will require a corresponding consumption pattern——low-carbon consumption adapt. Xiamen is a Special Economic Zone in China, the level of economic development of Xiamen has been far ahead of most cities in China after thirty years. Now, whether it is required to develop low-carbon economy in Fujian province and the national, or its sustainable development of economy of Xiamen city are urgent for Xiamen to change the mode of economic growth. Low-carbon consumption is an important link in the development of low-carbon economy. Low carbon consumption driven by benign cycle of low-carbon production can achieve a low carbon economy development. At the same time, Xiamen city as a pilot city for the construction of low-carbon city, residents of the low-carbon consumption is an important aspect of the construction of low-carbon city. Therefore, to explore the path of implementation of low-carbon consumption is of great significance for Xiamen city.This paper uses the combination of theory and practice, systematic analysis and comparative analysis method, carries on the system analysis the significance and influence factors, related concepts of low-carbon consumption. According to the status of Xiamen residents in low-carbon consumption, this paper analyzes the reasons of restricting the low carbon consumption of Xiamen city residents. And then after summarizing the successful experience from western developed countries and the two domestic low-carbon cities to promote of low-carbon consumption, it explores the ways and suggestions for promoting low carbon-consumption in Xiamen city. |
