Research On The Current Situation, Problems In Government’s Medicine Price Control And The Corresponding Strategy

With respect to the increase of the medicine price, it is not only proportional to the medicine quantity that is consumed, but also subject to the price of the new arrivals. Almost every country in the world are under the pressure due to the increase of the price and are all committed to conduct research on ways to curb the increase of the price by taking into consideration of their own conditions. Thus, many problems pop up:why the price of the medicine needs to be controlled? Why we cannot let the market itself to determine the medicine price? What are the principles and ways to decide a price? What we can draw from the experience of other countries in pricing? All these key points will be introduced and investigated in this paper. Medicine price regulation is not only the focus in domestic China, and it is also a difficult problem facing the world. There is still a long way to go to deepen the reform the medicine system and conduct scientific regulation and supervision, such as to establish the rights equal to liability system. The vulnerability in the supervision and regulation system will affect the law enforcement.In this paper, the author will research how to establish a reasonable pricing system and explain why it is necessary for government’s role in the supervision and regulation of the medicine price. The author also gives us a brief introduction to the policy on medicine price. By analyzing the problem in the role of the government and the mode in which price control authority decides the price, the author tries to find the causes of problems in pricing forming. By drawing on the overseas experiences in price regulation, the author makes some suggestions to the medicine pricing mechanism in order to facilitate a more reasonable price and brighter future in medicine price control.
