Boarding on Hongshan District, Jiangxia District is the major part of the outer expansion of Wuhan central downtown. with the further development of urbanization in Wuhan city, lots of cultivated land in Jiangxia District will be occupied by construction and transportation land, thus intensifying the conflict between people and land. After the land expropriation, some farmers will shift to non-agricultural industries. However, due to the low cultural quality and labor skills, they are often at a disadvantage in the competition, with difficulty to find a good job, resulting deteriorating in survival conditions.
