Sewage irrigation may be defined as the application of sewage water to soil for the purpose ofsupplying the moisture essential for plant growth.Urban sewage, is not only a suburban farmlandimportant source of water, but also an important source of manure. Sewage contains more nitrogen,phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients, especially rich in organic matter,which could suspend solids,irrigat farmland, save fertilizer, reduce costs, and result in the rising of soil fertility. The sewage watermainly comefrom domestic sewage and industrial wastewater and its high quality is favorable for cropgrowth. However, industrial wastewater contains much heavy metal salts that are not conducive to thegrowth of crops, such as lead, mercury, chlorine, sulfur, cyanide and other harmful ingredients.Sewage irrigation has promoted the development of agriculture. First, sewage irrigation can savefertilizer because it contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients needed for the growthof crops and reduces the quantity of fertilizer using; Secondly, sewage irrigation can ease the watershortage, solve the current problem of insufficient agricultural water sources; What’s more, the use oftreated sewage to irrigation can also avoid the direct discharging of sewage into rivers, lakes and otherpollution it may cause; Finally, the problems caused by the drop in grain production because of the lackof water, food production could be solve efficiently, and the cost of sewage treatment could be reducedsimultaneously.The purpose of this paper is to investigate the water quality of the of mushrooms Lake Reservoirin Shihezi sewage irrigation district, contrast sewage irrigation area and water irrigation area, yield andquality of crops, analysis of wastewater irrigation on crop yield and quality and safety of agriculturalproducts, and understand the analysis of the problems of sewage irrigation in the practical applicationof sewage irrigation impact on the lives of local people through the form of a questionnaire in localfarmers.Another purpose is to improve the management system of sewage irrigation and crop farmingsystems, and make full use of sewage for irrigation to increase crop yield, and try to do to wastewaterirrigation of agricultural products, and safety to ensure the quality and safety of agricultural productsfrom the place of origin of agricultural products.
