Nowadays, with the environment get worse and worse, the endless issues of food and production safety, the concept of sustainable development is growing in popularity. As the main part of the whole society, the corporations are required to take on their social responsibility by presenting its sustainability information. Specifically, the information of finance results, the strategy target, the governance and its performance in taking social responsibilities are meant to disclosure integrated. In this way, we may realize the economic development and also the social development. In this context, The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) was set up in order to create a globally accepted Integrated Reporting framework which brings together financial, environmental, social and governance information in a clear, concise, consistent and comparable format. Aim is to help with the development of more comprehensive and comprehensible information about organizations, prospective as well as retrospective, to meet the needs of a more sustainable, global economy.On the basis of reviewing the literature related to the development of enterprise reporting and integration report, the article explore the motivation and development trend of improvement of the current corporate reporting in the perspective of inner and outer environment change. Then, the author explores the necessity and possibility of using integrated reporting. On this basis, the author analysis the core concept of the integrated report, and also its main contents and make a contrast with the current financial reporting. The case of the American Enterprise is used to explore and explain the integrated reporting framework. Finally, the author deeply profiles the favorable conditions, constraints for the transition from today’s corporate reporting system to the integrated reporting. With the idea of integration, the author try to figure out the transition path and make several recommendations.
