Research Of Technical Barriers To Trade Early-warning System Of Chinese Textile And Clothing Export Against The USA

As a long history and a comparative advantage industry, the textile and clothing industry has played a pillar role in China, and meanwhile trade in textiles and clothing has always accounted a considerable proportion in Sino-US trade category. Accompanied by the continuous abolishment of traditional tariffs barriers to international trade, technical barriers to trade with corresponding contents of technical regulations, technical standards and conformity assessment procedures, health and quarantine measures have influenced textile and clothing export dramatically for china. The textile and clothing industry occupied the forefront out of major industries affected by foreign technical barriers to trade issued by US. Therefore, deep understanding of the technical barriers to trade measures in developed countries represented by US, and establishment of early-warning system are conductive to avoid and reduce direct and indirect losses rife with great realistic economic and social significance.This thesis introduces developments and export to US status of textiles and clothing, and moreover detailed make an analysis in establishment and origins of TBT on textiles adopted by US. Based on the foundation of sundry research achievements on early-warning theory at home and abroad, we construct the TBT early-warning system directed against textiles export from China to US, applying BP artificial neural network model via selecting some appropriate economic and technical gap index. By means of calculation and confirmation, it proved that the system has accurate prediction effect and great credibility. In the end, we draw a conclusion and present corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on account of aforementioned early-warning model.
