Research On The Changjitu Exploitation Strategy And Build The Tumen River FTA

In2009, the development and opening up of Chang-Ji-Tu as well as the regional cooperation and development of Tumen River have to be put on the agenda. They were approved by the State Council, which have rose to an important national economic development standard. This will bring opportunities for the economic development and revitalization of northeast China, which has also set the tone for further improve the level of development and opening up of China’s border regions. In Chang-Ji-Tu full implementation of development strategy, and achieved significant progress, on April13,2012, agreed to by the state council formally approved HunChun set up in Jilin province "China Tumen river area (HunChun) international cooperation demonstration zone". The establishment of the demonstration zone marked the Tumen river area international collaboration and HunChun development into a new stage, to accelerate the construction of long ji diagram development and opening-up pilot area and promote sound and rapid economic and social development of Jilin province, is a new strategic opportunities. Good HunChun international cooperation demonstration zone construction, will make the Tumen river area has become an important portal for northeast Asia open in our country, to realize the ultimate goal of establishing free trade area of the Tumen river. The regional cooperation will take broad prospects to engage in foreign trade and economic cooperation with neighboring countries in this region for economic and technical cooperation. The important area of Chang-Ji-Tu will be the first demonstration and representation of the development of China’s opening, which will provide more engine to the growth of the economy in the Northeast. The regional cooperation of Tumen River Free Trade Area will promote the Tumen River and its surrounding region to expand their exports, enhance export competitiveness, optimize the structure of export commodities and realize the export market diversification. Discussing the related issues about the strategies of Chang-Ji-Tu development and the free trade area of Tumen River will not only enhance the mutual understanding between the people and society of the neighbor countries, but also can understand the interdependent relationship between the neighbor countries as well as regional economic development. The research of Chang-Ji-Tu development strategy of opening up and the construction measures of Tumen River economic free trade area will obtain more potential market and accelerate the pace of development of regional economic integration, thereby stimulating the development of the Northeast Asian region as a whole.In such environment, the paper relies on the development strategies of Chang-Ji-Tu, and focused on research on the mode and prospects of the Tumen river free trade zone. Here utilizing the related theories about regional economic integration and regional economic development to explore the establishment and development of Tumen River free trade area. We proposed that the free trade area of Tumen River will play a significance role in promoting the northeast old industrial base and strengthen our strategic position in Northeast Asia Economic Cooperation. The paper briefly introduces the research background and significance, literature review, research methods and thesis structure in the first chapter, which have an overall understanding of the thesis. Then mainly talks about the related concepts, including the meaning and characteristics of the regional economy, the related concepts and forms of regional economic integration as well ae the regional economic development theory. Next focus on analyze the development strategies of Tumen River, including the background and development of the Chang-Ji-Tu, the construction direction of it and the key project of the future cooperation of the Chang-Ji-Tu region. In the core chapters, we mainly discuss the establishment ideal of the Tumen River free trade area, the development model and market-based coordination mechanism of Tumen River. At the same time, the paper propose the suggestions for the establishment of Tumen River free trade area. Then analyzes the advantages and the construction of the Tumen River Free Trade Area to accelerate the development of basic industries, strengthening infrastructure construction and strengthen the active cooperation of the countries in Northeast Asia. Chinese government actively respond to the Tumen River Free Trade Area and other strategic initiatives.
