The reason’s of various regions and regional income gap has widened between districts and counties is because of each district and counties difference of factor endowments in natural and economic structure, these are mainly includes big countryside, mountain area, the reservoir, big cities and industrial district.Another reason is combined with the policy in the region between the tilt is differ. These are resulting in the" lap two wings "unbalanced economic development. The appropriate regional income gap can promote the region economic efficiency, but excessive regional income gap will reduce economic efficiency and hinder economic development. So what is the main cause of Chongqing regional income gap? How about region economy according to close the gap and realize the unbalanced development? It is a major topics for the government departments and the research field.As one of the important factors in promoting economic growth, the input factor and total factor productivity (TFP), is the present academia first choice to research area income gap.This article is also not exceptional, through the summary of here and abroad related the total factor productivity and the regional income gap research. First, using relevant theories, methods, measures and models evaluation and analysis Chongqing’s regional income gap on the current situation; Then reuse Eviews6.0, DEA2.1and Stata12.0measurement software of40districts and counties in Chongqing, the "lap two wings" four regions and12years of panel data to measure and empirical analysis, at the same time from2000to2011in Chongqing’s districts and counties regional total factor productivity,technical efficiency and technical level are analyzed; Then selected the four "lap two wings" on behalf of the county’s total factor productivity, labor, capital stock and human capital to lower ADL test and regression are GDP, total factor productivity in order to analysis the Chongqing region of the influence of income gap; The theory with practice, according to the above analysis conclusion, put forward for and adapted to the narrow regional income gap in Chongqing.
