With the quick development of our economy, small and medium-sizeenterprises (SMEs) become more and more important in the market economy. However, these enterprises have a great difficulty in financing. On one hand, the credit system of these enterprises hasn’t been built up yet because of theirweak performance in business. On the other hand, commercial banks turn down their financing needs for the sake of security management. To solve this need-supply problem and find out a financing mode that benefit both sides are always the focus of research. This article points out that the main way to solve this problem is to search multi-participants in the credit market by commercial banks and build up a special mechanism to bear the risk collectively.Supply chain financing is just the mode that fits this need Along with the participation of third-party logistics companies, this financing mode use core enterprises’credit records, which are in the same industry chain with the SMEs, to solve the financing problem for SMEs as the weaker party What’s more important, it balances the capital distribution of the whole supply chain and improves the overall competitiveness。 At the same time, supply chain financing builds up a positive and interactive industrial ecology among banks and group of enterprises in supply chain。 However, while commercial banks promote this new business full blast, they still lack of deep recognition about the risk and a series of scientific management method。 Once the economy fluctuates, banks will suffer from system lost and theirnitiative will decrease。 Therefore, it’s very necessary to do systematic research about the theory of supply chain financing so as to reveal its validity in helping the SMEs to get loan And the risk of supply chain financing also has to be analyzed in order to figure out measure method and management suggestions towards its major risk—operational risk.
