Rural tourism appeared. Rural tourism is an integrated tourism that collection watch,study,learning, participation,entertainment,shopping,holiday which based on agriculture and cultural landscape, rual ecological environment, the traditional national customs as a resource. As an emerging industry, rural tourism proves new job opportunities for farmers, proves a new kind source of income, plays an important role in restructuring rural industries; the development of rural tourism is good for revitalizing rural economy and solving problems with rural and implement ion of development of economic and social integration of urban and rural.Suzhou has always been an important historical and cultural cities and tourist city. A Chinese proverb says,"In heaven there is a paradise, on earth there are Suzhou and Hangzhou".In addition to the famous gardens of suzhou, rural tourism is also developing rapidly. This article focuses on the concept of rural toursim and the backgroud,pointed out that rural toursim villages, experience, and cultural characteristics; compared the different types of foreign and domestic rural tourism, pointed out that the development of rural tourism in china has gone through three stages, and the geographical distribution of rural tourism is mainly concentrated in the place of the scenic edge of the city suburbs, special agriculture base and so on. In addition,the paper foceses on the development of rural tourism in suzhou,the conditions for the development and with the rural tourism resources,as well as the current development status.In this paper, to Suzhou Wangsan Ecological Park as an example, I think there are some problems in the suzhou rural toursim development. For example, because of the lack of scientific planning,leading the blind development; personalization and weak experiential of rural tourism products; facilities are not complete and the service level needs to be improved. Finally, given the relevant recommendations for the development of rural tourism in suzhou. Do the characteristics of long-term planning to protect the rural tourism resouces,highlighting the rourism product and increase the experience of the project, improving scenic infrastructure and the levels of service; strengthen the training of personnel,introduction of advanced management techniques and marketing methods.
