| 21st century has been defined as "city century" by many scholars and urbanization has become one of the significant performances of global development. The report of Institut National Etudes Demographiques published in2007indicated that there would be50billion people living in city, the rate of which would be accounted as60%of the total population in the world. Nowadays, China has underwent great change and great transformation in its society and is also in the great transition from rural country to urbanization one. There will be800million people living in the town; and China’s urbanization ratio will ascend to around55%in2020. It can’t be denied that in the past three decades under the policy of "reform and openingup",China has made outstanding achievementson its path to urbanization. But it is inevitable that urbanization brings China a prosperous aspect, but also thehidden various political, economic and cultural problems and contradictionsentangled with each other. Urbanization shall be the key and inevitable issue on which we shall keep a close eye in the development of China in future.The discussion on pros and cons ofThree Gorges Project and fled out of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, some events such as several Yangtze university professors kneeled down and requested closing down some polluting enterprises, forced evictions, demolition of self-burning have always displayed, all of which have broughtthe social conflict between human and the society, human and the environment, human and the economy to the public. Peng Yu-case in Nanjing, XiaoyueyueincidentinGuangdongFoshan, also put the moral belief, social fairness and justice and public conscience first in China’s urbanization development. Through these discussions and events, some things can be clearly discovered:These social contradictions are concentrated on the urbanization and the social class, urbanization and the social justice, urbanization and the urban vulnerable group, urbanization and the traditional culture, etc. And philosophy is needed to focus on, criticize and reflect upon these issues.Hu Jintao has pointed out that "the imbalance, the unsustainable of development are still existing" in his report at18th National Party Congress in2012and concluded that "it’s important to people’s welfare and the future of our nation to build an eco-civilization. We are facing a serious situation, such as resource constraint, environment pollution and ecological system degradation, and shall establish an ecological civilization thought of respecting, coordinating and protecting environment, and build beautiful China and achieve the sustainable development of our nation". How to build the beautiful China and achieve the sustainable development of our nation shall be answered through long term thinking in the process of urbanization.This paper will put forward the path of sustainable developmentinChina’s urbanization process by taking the sustainable development theory as the theoretical perspective and the basic framework, using laws of dialectics, such ascontact and development, whole and part, quantitative change and qualitative change,, phenomenon and the essence, from the demonstration of urbanization and sustainable development, focusing on the unsustainable problems of China’s urbanization process, based on the Marxism basic principle and the scientific concept of development, referring to the related western Marxist theory, through the analysis of the influence factors and root cause, and concludes that sustainable urban development of China should proceed from the things generally contact law, understand the basis, the causes and mechanisms of the social organic systemon the basis of material productionfocus on local and overall coordination, handle the relationship between the individual and general in the urbanization process correctly, grasp the material unity relationsof human and nature to build the harmonious ecological residential balanced diversified sustainable way of urban development. |
