With the acceleration of urbanization, the housing problem has become one ofthe major problems facing the national economy. And the development of the realestate industry exerts a profound impact on the resolution of this issue. Grasping thestatus quo, seizing the future and exploring a road for real estate enterprises’development road which matches Chinese characteristics are extremely important forevery real estate enterprise.As a country’s super-huge iron and steel conglomerate, the world’s largest,highest level of technological equipment and the most complete varieties andspecifications of stainless steel enterprise, the Co. Ltd. Taiyuan Iron and Steel Grouphas a far-reaching and significant impact on improving the internationalcompetitiveness and the concentration of the stainless steel industry in China andpromoting the structural adjustment of China’s stainless steel industry. The Real EstateCo., Ltd. TISCO is an independent subsidiary which is one of major initiatives takenby Co., Ltd. Taiyuan Iron and Steel Group to pay attention to people’s livelihood, topromote the building of a harmonious enterprise as well as to realize transitionaldevelopment and diversified development. So its development and the way out willaffect the entire TISCO and even the subsidiary real estate of large state-ownedenterprises’ developments as well as directions.The article takes Real Estate Co., Ltd. TISCO as an example, which is such a realestate development company belonged to a large state-owned enterprises. This papertakes the theory of strategic management as a basis of the research, applies SWOTanalysis, Boston Matrix and other strategic management analysis tools as the means ofthe study to analyze Real Estate Development Co.,Ltd. Shanxi TISCO from thecompany’s internal and external environment. The analysis is aimed to determine thedevelopment strategy, make strategic choices and ultimately play their ownadvantages and all resources that can be used with the help of the Taiyuan real estatedevelopment’s a favorable external environment. The enterprise can avoid thedisadvantage of deficient marketing experience, carry out the strategy of Productfocus, atrophy, joint development, remedy the market, integration and ultimatelybecome one of the leading real estate development enterprises which should take theconstruction of affordable housing and construction projects on behalf of thegovernment raised by corporations as the short-term direction, as well as a commercial real estate development as the long-term direction. Through this research,guiding recommendations can be drawn for the development of the Real EstateDevelopment Co., Ltd. Shanxi TISCO and some useful references can also beprovided for the future development of real estate development subsidiary companybelonged to the large state-owned enterprise.
