Film and television is becoming a mature and great valuable industry with their culture across audio-visual languages,colorful contents,amazing audio-visual experience.With the development of CG and GPU.not only the cut-scenes in modern video games are like Hollywood films,but also more and more games are involving diegesis into their game play.Benefiting from diegesis,now games’s plot can be described in much more stereo,rhythmic and meaningful.As for films and televisions,interaction not only brings a new idea and innovation to traditional film theories.This paper focuses on the research on application of interactive storytelling(IS) on interactive entertainment,On the point of dialogue which traditional IS care little about,this paper will propose a flexible,powerful dialogue design tool with the principle of bringing interaction into films,we can develop an interactive movie.This paper firstly introduce the concept and history of the mixing area--IS and different branches of research and my understanding about IS.The paper mainly focuses on the application of IS on entertainment.Then the paper describes the environment under which the dialogue model runs and overall structure which is like the structure of film industry to better simulate the performance of movies.Then the paper describes different modules of the dialogue generating tool and how different components work together to make up as a whole.The next part is the implementation of dialogue model,and the idea behind this model which of course is the core of dialogue mode.In a nutshell,it is based on the inner semantic logic,inner causality link。And on this core base,the paper describes the chose of data structure,the positive and negative of array,list, and what I use in this paper.An important idea is the emotion system which simulates wave motion of human’s emotion,and in this way characters will be angry or happy,etc and emotion will heavily affect them to select their dialogues.Next parts are the details of each component.How the dialogue model can be used by script,the important component Camera’s design and implementation.We watch the interactive movie by the continuous shots,so to design a powerful Camera component is rather important.Another importance we talk about is how to design interaction by not to corrupt the narrative and at the same time can bring great pleasure and entertainment to users.Then we talk about the aspect ratio and different ratio has different experience.The last part is the conclusion and expectation of the dialogue model that the paper proposes and some points that should be improved immediately in further research.
