With the wide application of wireless sensor networks, multi-path routing studyhas been become a hot research area. Compared with the single-path routing, multi-pathrouting can not only transmit the data packet separately, but also provide morealternative links. This paper is mainly study the multi-path routing in multi-radiowireless sensor networks, and the method determine routing by assignment of channel. This paper aiming at the problem of channel busy and communication delays inwireless sensor networks, this paper proposed a multi-path routing protocol based on thefrequency hopping and the carrier sense mechanism, named optimized frequencyhopping protocol. It ensures that the two nodes jump to the same channel to conductchannel reservation in the shortest time, and utilizing the carrier sense mechanism tofind out a routing with the higher service quality in multiple routings, and then use therouting to transmit data. In order to verify the performance of multi-path routingprotocol, this paper carried out simulation experiments. The results show that: theproposed multi-path routing protocol could provide good quality of service. Moreover, with the increase in the number of nodes in the network, the protocol has good stability.
