Because of the limited energy of nodes in wireless sensor networks(WSNs), theenergy of nodes not only restrict the use of WSNs in the field of military and environmentmonitoring but also affected single node’s processing capabilities, radio communicationcapability and data monitoring capability. Game theory is a good way to studyindividual strategy interaction problem, so the use of game theory methods can take fulladvantage in wireless sensor nodes’ self decision-making ability to save energy inWSNs. Using game theory to set up a power control algorithm and routing model tobalance the network energy consumption and prolong the lifetime of the network is themain research problem. In view of the above problems, the main work of this paper issummarized as follow:(1) Design a power control model and algorithm based on game theory, analysis thebenefits of different strategies of nodes. Through experiment, they were analyzed under thecondition of different node in income, residual energy and life cycle.(2) Aim at the deficiencies of the present method, combined with the present resultof research, this paper use the method of non-cooperative game puts forward aimprovement scheme. The existence election of cluster will cause uneven premature deathand energy consumption of nodes. The method proposed in this paper considering theresidual energy, energy consumption of nodes and the distance from nodes to cluster.(3) Finally, the paper simulates and validates the effectiveness and rationality of theproposed algorithm, analysis effects of different strategies on network performance. Thealgorithm simulated by OMNET++, and then the paper analysis indicators performanceof cluster head distribution, survival time, survived nodes of network. This paper introduces game theory into the WSNs’ power control and routingalgorithm, provide a new research approach in network performance optimization. On onehand, the power model uses the non-cooperative game theory to control the WSNs. On theother hand, establish a routing game model effectively incentives nodes, balance cluster head distribution, optimize the performance of the network and prolongs the network lifecycle.
