Research Of Moving Object Detecting And Tracking

Moving object detecting and tracking technology is an important part of computervision, that’s widely used in intelligent transportation, intelligent security, intelligentweapons, early-warning missile and other fields. But the moving object detecting andtracking technology still needs to improve and refine in the aspect of stability and veracity,so restricts the application of this technology seriously. Therefore, it’s great important toresearch of moving object detecting and tracking algorithm and implementation.The paper detailed analysis and studies two aspects from the moving object detectingand tracking. And it mainly studies based on static background of moving object detectingand tracking algorithm.Part in moving object detecting, comparative analysis the traditional moving objectdetecting algorithm: the basic principles, algorithm processes and characteristics ofBackground subtraction, inter-frame difference method, optical flow method. Paper isproposed based on the traditional detecting algorithm and combines the backgroundsubtraction and frame difference algorithm. In moving target tracking section, the paperfocus on the Cam Shift algorithm that one of the classical moving object trackingalgorithm, and combined with the Kalman filter prediction algorithm to improve theoriginal algorithm in the tracking inaccuracy and easy to lose issue. In addition, the paperalso studies of the image processing, moving target marking related algorithms, elaboratesthe principles and characteristics of morphological operations and neighborhood marking. Verified by experiments that the improved algorithm has better real-time performance androbustness, so can be used in the actual system.In the algorithm implementation process, the paper select the Windows operatingsystem as the platform, in the VC++compiler environment, called Intel’s Open CV opensource library to implement video image preprocessing, image processing, moving objecttracking, while completes the part of the simulation algorithm of moving object detectingin Matlab.At the last section of this paper, summed up the full text of the work, and furtherspecified on moving object detecting and tracking technology and focus of the next step.
