Network security model is a complex nonlinear system, its situation value has some characters of chaos system, and the predictability of these situation values is of a great significance for Network security management. We want to grasp the abilities of network to resist malicious attack timely and forecast the trends of network security situation. That will help these network management personnel far away from tedious massive data and malicious attacks. So we can study the security of the network deeply. The research on network security situation is also a hot issue.In order to predict the network security situation more effectively, the paper analyzes a variety of network security situation prediction methods and techniques. This paper proposes a novel predicting method, which is based on the echo state network with small-world property, for Network security. This method can predict the Network security situation after training and testing the acquired historical attack record data. Verified by simulation experiments, the proposed prediction method of this paper has a higher precision and predicting speed, and can, therefore, reflect the Network security situation in the future timely and accurately. We believe that this achievement will provide some practical guides for the network administrator to supervise network.
