Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of female reproductive system, a serious threat to woman’s health. In the global scope, about hundreds of thousands of women die from cervical cancer every year. But the reasons for the occurrence of cervical cancer are still unknown, the lack of the effective way to prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer in the medical field. The cervical cancer disease is a gradual process, so early diagnosis can prolong the life cycle and improve the quality of life. Early symptoms of cervical cancer associated with small particles cluster calcifications, rod-shaped calcifications and independent calcifications have a close relationship.In the ultrasound images of cervical cancer, calcifications are different in size and shape, low contrast and non-uniform intensity, making it difficult to be detected and segmented, and the extraction and segmentation have not yet appeared the best segmentation method that is applied to the ultrasonic image of cervical cancer calcification, so how to quickly and accurately extract the ultrasonic image of cervical cancer calcification is an urgent problem to be solved for people. Therefore, this paper proposes a level set algorithm that the extraction and segmentation of cervical cancer calcifications of ultrasonic image. The basic principle of the algorithm is based on the traditional C-V model to improve it, and with the LKAC model to realize the segmentation and extraction of cervical cancer calcifications of ultrasonic image.The simulation results shows that comparing the proposed algorithm in this paper, which combining improved C-V model with LKAC model algorithm for calcifications segmentation with the single use horizontal concentrated C-V model, improved C-V mode and LKAC model about segmentation effect of cancer ultrasonic image calcifications, the proposed algorithm can quickly, accurately, clearly and automatic segmentation of cervical cancer in ultrasound images calcifications, help doctors make early judgment on patients with cervical cancer illness, for the timely treatment for the patients.
