Research And Application Of Data Mining In Police Decision Support System

With the rapid development and popularization of Internet, people demand moreand more on the information, the information management system of all kindsof convenience has become an indispensable tool in people’s life. At the sametime to provide new ideas and methods of police handling and information analysisand investigation. For the management of public security departments of the caseinformation using information management tools and Internet technology in theactual case investigation. So the management has been the general trend of socialdevelopment for all kinds of case information in the public security system of ourcountry. This paper intends to research on data mining technology in theapplication of the public security department. Information management system is theapplication of data mining technology to develop the system and traditional publicsecurity departments are different, it not only has the ability of informationprocessing, but also carries on the analysis to the system’s information and data, thenaccording to the results of the analysis to the police to provide basis for decisionmaking.Through the data mining technology, the public security departments dailyprocessing of case statistics and classification, according to the results of theanalysis to the public security departments of the new cases were some of theearly pre processing, this can avoid detours to go in the case of the process, greatlysaves energy, and improves the efficiency of handling cases.The main problem of this study is how the public security departments in theapplication of data mining techniques to implement a decision support system, makesthe case management and the suspect management rationalization of the publicsecurity department. The main work is as follows: Mining and relatedtechnologies are analyzed; the implementation of the decision supportsystem of requirement analysis, design and implementation. This part is the focus of this paper, through detailed design, finally realizes the public security decisionsupport system; analysis of the data mining technology in decision support system ofpublic security. Through the analysis, the function of data mining ismainly different cases and the suspects are classified and analyzed, then according todifferent types of different detection and the trial scheme.The importance of the paper is as follows:(1)The paper analyzed and described the requirements, design andimplementation of the system thoroughly, and accomplished all the developmentwork related to the entire software life cycle by taking advantage of theobject-oriented theory.(2)The paper designed and implemented a police decision support system, whichcan effectively integrate the functions of case management together.(3)The system is helpful to the optimization of the police decision supportmanagement process. The manager of police can supervise the police decision supportwork and can make high-level decisions according to the results.(4)The application of this system in police decision support management haspartly promoted the integration of police decision support management work andothers.(5) The paper studied the decision tree algorithm of data mining, and thenpresents an improved decision tree algorithm; through the algorithm can be completedon the public security departments to the suspect in the case and the case of mining,by classifying the suspects and cases of mined information.(6) The system of public security decision support model is based on the Web, sothe system can be used in different physical locations, distributed data analysis andprocessing business.(7) The police decision system of the implementation of data mining process cancarry out cleaning, conversion and extraction prior to data, so as to reduce thedifficulty of data mining.
