Design And Implementation Of Mongolian Basic Widgets Based Android

Android, launched by Google, is a Linux-based open source operating system designed for portable devices. Statistics show that Android is occupying more and more position in the field of Mobile Internet gradually. For the developers, Android is considered to be the most promising potential open platform, which can provides adequate opportunities for developers to promote their applications, so it will be the developer’s best choice.This thesis first discusses the development history of Android and the general situation of Mongolian, and has made a study of the Mongolian widgets, the Android platform framework and the way to build it. We also analyzed the existing basic widgets of Android that are commonly used. Because of the verities and power of these widgets, many application developers can directly invoke these basic widgets or inherit form an existing control framework during their own development process, by which, the application developers can spend less time and effort to expand applications for individuation, and to develop practical applications easily and conveniently. However, due to the special writing format of the Mongolian, and the Mongolian control application based on Android is still in early stages, the standardized Android widgets that conform to Mongolian writing habits are very scarce, which lead to the display of Mongolian in Android application is in a horizontal direction and bring great inconvenience to the Mongolian users.To solve the above-mentioned problem, a series of Android-based Mongolian basic widgets are designed and implemented, including MWEditText, MWTextView, MWRadioGroup, MWCheckBox, and MWButton widget. Furthermore, we applied these widgets into a simple application, and verified the feasibility of these widgets in the optimization of Mongolian software. Finally, we hope this research can provide some help for the future development of Mongolian systems and Mongolian phone system software optimization.
