With the rapid development of communication industry,3G technology brings us unprecedented high-speed experience. Various communication modes cooperate with each other which bring us many optional spaces. In our country, WCDMA is more and more industrial, with the character of protocol is richer and the scale of the protocol is more complex. It is important to do conformance testing of mobile network protocol. Manual testing need growing cost, and many problems are not easy to find, thus introducing automatic theory to protocol conformance testing. There is a little research on WCDMA protocol conformance testing which use formal method at present. CPN is a formal method which has been used for many testing process. Thus, it is feasible to describe WCDMA protocol using CPN and generate test sequence based on the CPN model. In this dissertation, the main work is as follows:Firstly, based on protocol conformance testing theory and characteristic of CPN modeling method, analyze WCDMA protocol signaling process with formal method. According to analyzing results, model WCDMA protocol module by CPN.Secondly, associate transition, place and arc in the model with state space generated, then design and implement an automatic tool. The tool’s main function is extracting abstract test sequence, and getting executable test sequence from abstract test sequence, which can provide a theoretical basis and tool support for perfecting protocol conformance testing in the future.Thirdly, describe test sequence with natural language, and contrastive analyze part of test sequence and test suite provided by3GPP. By analyzing comparative results, verify the method of automatic generating test sequence is feasible.
