The Research And Application Of Text Image Tilt Correction Algorithm

This paper mainly studies the related issues of text-based image of fast tilt correction technology including accurate screening of text features sub-area, angle detection, rapid rotation correction, etc. A new solution was put forward on the basis of analyzing the existing theory of information and the effectiveness of the proposed scheme was verified in the actual project application.This article first introduces the research status quo and the application domain of tilt correction algorithm technology. After summarizing the current commonly used tilt correction algorithm and analyzing the applicable scope, the advantages and disadvantages of the several kinds of traditional text image tilt correction algorithms, such as the method based on projection, the method based on Hough transform, the method based on Fourier transform, this paper proposed a new fast text image tilt correction method to solve the problem of the existing correction algorithm speed efficiency.First of all, a new kind of algorithm was designed according to the method of using projection window to filter the text feature area by analyzing the characteristic of text images distribution, the connectivity of regional text word arranged according to certain rules and finally get the ideal effect.Secondly, the text characteristic of sub zone screened out adopts a method of domain horizontal search to position the location of each word in the whole line. Then, the least squares straight line fitting method was used to get the text line angle and calculate the accurate angle by accessing to multiple text line.Thirdly, the rotation algorithm removed a large number of floating point data in the process of image rotation correction so that it can run fast to support embedded platform which is not enough for floating-point arithmetic, the good effect was obtained in the test.Finally, designing and implementing of the prototype system in this paper according to the technical scheme was proposed in this paper. Through the analysis of the test results and the actual project inspection, proved that the solution presented in this paper has higher practical value.
