Dynamic target simulator is an important part of semi physical simulation. Dynamictarget simulator designed in this paper is used to simulate the topography andgeomorphology image, it uses dynamic simulation technology of target based on spatiallight modulator.Precision simulation of topography in the aerospace field has a relatively wide rangeof applications, mostly associated equipment used for the performance of inspection andtesting. The article use the amplitude modulation performance of the spatial lightmodulator, combined with computer control,the actual operating conditions to generatesimulate scene graph, and through a variety of programs for comparison, using a collimatorprojection model, simulate actual infinity target pattern, image matching system for semi-related physical simulation, with high accuracy, good image quality, flexibility and goodfeatures, can simulate a variety of scenery images in real time to achieved a comprehensivematching system performance test.Any detection systems are required to be tested for him to verify its performance tomeet the design targets, due to the limited number of key components or technology,currently in a controlled dynamic target simulation and testing devices is difficult to meetthe actual demand. Target simulator designed in this paper can realize rapidcontinuous transform of the target by using spatial light modulator, it can also simulatedynamic target of high precision in laboratory, it has important significance for thedevelopment of semi-physical simulation technology, at the same time target simulator canrealize the dynamic optical testing in laboratory and has an important significance tothe development of optical testing technology.This article we first has carried on the proof to the three different dynamic targetsimulator scheme and discuss its advantages and disadvantages, then determine thedynamic target simulator for parallel light tube according to the technical requirements, wealso analyzed the composition, working principle and function of dynamic targetsimulator parallel light tube type energy requirements. Secondly, we make a deep study onthe performance parameters and carries on the analysis and selection of differentcomponents. The optimization and design use ZEMAX software, and the detailed design process and the design results are given for the imaging optical system, then wemake tolerance analysis of the design result. Finally, LightTools are used to analysis thetotal illumination of the system on image plane.The simulation results show that the dynamic target simulator based on spatial lightmodulator in this paper can achieve a resolution up to1024multiply1024and imagingdistortion is less than1/10pixel image quality requirements.
