With the rapid development of social economy and technology, the urbanization level is increasing, and people’s living standards are improving, more and more people have their own vehicles, resulting in a series of traffic problems, such as traffic congestion, traffic accidents, traffic management, environmental pollution, energy shortages, and so on. All these have become a common problem of all countries of the world that need to be solved. To alleviate these problems, the ITS(Intelligent Transport System) came into being. The IOV(Internet of Vehicles) is an application of the ITS, and is an important part of ITS. The Internet of Vehicles is a network system which is using in-vehicle electronic sensing devices, mobile communication technology, automotive navigation systems, intelligent terminal equipment and information network platform technologies, to realizing the real-time combination between the car and roads, car and car, car and people, and then using the information to monitoring, scheduling and manage the cars, people, objects, roads and locations, to make the existing transportation system more flexible.Compare with the IOV and the MANET(Mobile Ad Hoc Network), there are many similarities, but the IOV has its own unique features:1. Because of the nodes(vehicles) high speed mobility, the network environment between the nodes, and also the nodes and the rode-side units is very unstable;2. The nodes join and leave the network is more frequently, so it is difficult to ensure the continuity of the services;3. The range of nodes’movement affected by the roads, so the nodes mobility is predictability, especially the buses, its route and travel time are certain, it is more easy to collect the reliable traffic data than other nodes.4. The node is carried on the car, so its electricity has no limited, we needn’t worry about the information loss caused by the power stop, but we still should take the limited computing power and storage capacity into account. In this paper, system architecture of vehicle networking is three-layers for information dissemination, in which vehicle mobile devices is called onboard unit (On-Board Unit, OBU) that is in the car in the third layer networking system. The top two layers are roadside unit (Road-Side Unit, RSU) as a transfer station of network and Web Center as the central data network centralized controller. Car nodes will pass the information collected through the wireless network to the roadside facilities, and roadside facilities will distribute, store, process the information according to the different types of information. There may be three possible information flow:one is information from RSU to the center aiming at supervising traffic environment; Second is information between roadside units, so that the roadside units in specific location can share their resources; Third is information between roadside unit and OBU, which is for the service provided from roadside unit to OBU.In the study to achieve a typical car networking multimedia information services, we found that if the traditional networking system of C/S architecture not only makes a server roadside unit bandwidth pressure doubled, but also can not guarantee services in a frequent intermittent vehicle unit environment. Therefore, according to car networking features and combining with user’s needs, we raise a cooperative way to download information based on MP2P to ensure the quality for uninterrupted service and enhance the user experience. This paper of research work is around the three-layers vehicle networking and MP2P deployment in vehicle networking. And at first, we briefly introduce vehicle networking and technologies related with MP2P. Second,we describes the three-layers vehicle network, as well as hardware and software design, and realize multimedia information services in programs and networking services. Finally, the paper describes the MP2P technology applied in vehicle networking and deployment MP2P download method in vehicle networking, as well as raise MP2P protocols and localization algorithm in vehicle networking environment.Compared with traditional vehicle networking services for users using C/S structure, MP2P architecture makes resources shared within a certain geographic range, thus reducing the bandwidth pressure of roadside unit, providing users a more efficient and reliable service with some innovation and practicability.
