Mobile communication which is an important part of many industries in the whole society is changing the way of people’s work and life. In the past few decades, in order to satisfy the requirements of enjoying the high-speed and convenient mobile networking service for people in anyplace and at anytime, communication industry focused on building a mobile network with seamless coverage and high quality. Today, as the green environmental protection and energy saving is becoming a global hot spots, comprehensive network energy saving of wireless cellular network has got more and more attention.Energy saving technology of wireless cellular network is mainly divided into three aspects:the device level, the link level and the network level. Among them, energy saving technology of the network level can save energy consumption from the level of the entire network, which is one of high-efficiency energy saving technology, and obtain extensive attention of people, such as the introduction of the sleep mechanics. For the future cellular networks, it includes a variety of forms, such as the use of Coordinated Multi-point transmission and Coordinated Relay transmission, etc. In this thesis, the impact of the wireless cellular network coordinated mechanism on energy efficiency of the whole network is researched.First of all, this thesis introduces the energy saving technology of wireless cellular network from three aspects that is device level, link level and network level, then, the performance of energy saving of the Coordinated Multi-point transmission and Coordinated Relay transmission are analyzed. The improvement of energy efficiency which is affected by Coordinated Multi-point transmission based on sleep mode in cellular networks is studied and the relationship between the average energy consumption and delay is obtained through the analysis. In the condition of average outage probability, the performance of network energy saving between the single base station transmission and coordinated base station transmission is compared. In the Coordinated Relay cellular network, a dynamic balance mechanism of traffic load is Proposed to make that relay station connect with different base stations dynamically. Meanwhile the traffic load is transferred from overload cells to under-load cell or collected to some cell, thus making the traffic load balance in the cellular network, reducing the call blocking probability and energy consumption of the whole cellular network, ensuring the quality of service.
