Adaptive beamforming technology as an important branch of array signal processing has been widely applied in radar,sonar,wireless communications,radio astronomy,and many other fields.After decades of development,The basic theoretical framework and algorithm of the adaptive beamforming technology is already quite mature.Most of these theories and algorithms is assuming in Gaussian noise environment.But a large number of experimental data shows:much real-world environment is non-Gaussian noise.It’ probability density distribution function has a thicker trailing than the Gaussian’.It means that kind of noise having a strong impulsiveness.For this kind of noise it is more suitable to be described as α-stable distribution model.Since the α-stable distribution does not have a finite second-order statistics and more. Thus the formation algorithm used in Gaussian noise environment based on second-order statistics do not apply to be used in impulsive noise environment. Based on this background,this article focus on the beamforming algorithm of the α-stable noise environment.The main work of this paper is as followings:According to the minimum dispersion criterion, extending the LMS adaptive beamforming algorithm, the minimum average p-norm (LMP) adaptive beamforming algorithm is proposed.Through the endless array of the received signal preprocessing norm normalization,Second-order statistics of the transformed signal exists and is bounded.Under α-stable noise environment,Maximum conrrentropy is proved to be equivalent to the minimum dispersion criterion.hen based on the maximum conrrentropy criterion,the problems of the beamforming under α-stable noise environment are studied. And the adaptive beamforming algorithm based on maximum conrrentropy is proposed. Simulate the several algorithms, give the results and analyze the results.By MATLAB simulation, converge speed of correlation entropy beamforming algorithm does not much more faster than LMP algorithm’,But the correlation entropy beamforming algorithm has a higher output SINR,and it has a better suppression for the interference signals...
