With the development of photoelectric technology, in the system of today’s shooting range test, usually by the intersectional target surface of linear CCD camera to test various properties of the projectile, and in the process of test, detection ability of linear CCD camera to the target is one of the important factors to consider.This paper based on the performance of linear CCD camera, the surface background characteristics of the target, the performance of the flying target to analyze, set up the limit detection velocity model of the linear CCD camera to the target, the limit detection range model of the linear CCD camera to the target and calculation model of linear CCD camera detection performance, through the experiment of linear array camera detection ability and data simulation to study the detection performance of linear CCD camera to the target. The mainly content related to the thesis are:(1) From the target features, the performance of camera and background characteristics, that three aspects of linear CCD camera theory to analyze the performance of target detection. Analyzes target size, target rate, target reflectivity, camera effective optical aperture, camera image distance and objective distance, camera scanning rate, camera field of view angle, camera exposure time, camera sensitivity, camera dynamic range, camera spatial resolution, brightness and intensity of illumination on the influence of linear CCD camera’s detection performance, and introduces the working principle of the target. The working principle of CCD mainly introduces the electrical charge birth, storage, transformation and detection. Simply from illumination of axis image point, illumination of off-axis image point, and the relationship between them analyzes of the light of imaging system.(2) On the basis of theoretical analysis, and through the analysis of the background illumination, goal illumination, and the relationship between them, establishing the detection velocity model of the linear CCD camera to the target, the detection range model of the linear CCD camera to the target and calculation model of linear CCD camera detection performance. Through the experiment of linear array camera detection ability and data simulation, knowing that the detection velocity of linear CCD camera is obtained decreases with objective distance increasing, increases with the increase of target length, decreases with the increase of scan rate, increases with the increase of image distance, increases with the increase of target reflectivity; the detection range of the linear CCD camera decreases with increasing of target speed, increases with target length increase, decreases with the increase of scan rate, increases with image distance increase, increases with the increase of target’s reflectivity.By soybean instead of the projectile on the linear array camera capture rate experiment, verified the distance of the target from the linear array camera on the effect of linear array camera’s capture rate, obtained that capture rate of linear array camera with the distance of the linear array camera.These are the target detection performance of linear CCD camera research and experiment, which has the vital significance to improve the level of shooting test.
